Alcoholism is a chronic disease. It is progressive and fatal which increases with time. There is an impaired control over alcohol intake, it becomes hard to resist the temptation. And this habit takes no time in turning into a fatal addiction.

1. drinking alone or in secret, trying to avoid others to discover

2. not remembering routine conversations or commitments

3. getting into the ritual or a daily habit of having a drink before, with or after dinner and getting irritated if ever this ritual is disturbed or questioned

4. Getting irritated or annoyed as usual drinking time approaches, especially if alcohol isn't available

5. no longer interested in the activities and hobbies that used to bring a lot of pleasure

6. trying to hide or keeping alcohol in an unlikely or unexpected place at home, at work, maybe in the car

7. often seen with having problems in relationships, employment or finances or egal problems

8. not sitting with family for any discussion, having the fear of being asked about his/her alcohol intoxication

9. gulping drinks, ordering doubles, becoming intoxicated intentionally to feel good or drinking to feel normal all the time

10. spending most of the time outside home with friends or alone
