Morning sickness during pregnancy


-not at all fatal for a pregnant woman and her developing baby but it brings a lot of discomfort for the her who is carrying a new life inside. Almost 50% of all pregnant women suffer through morning sickness during the first 3 months or 12 weeks of pregnancy. Although this sickness not always happen in the morning, in some pregnant women, it happens in the evening or throughout the day. The term is basically used to describe nausea, queasiness or vomiting. But it will not harm you in any case. It is totally harmless.


To combat this morning sickness during pregnancy, you can :


1. munch a few crackers before getting out of bed in the morning


2. Eat several but small meals a day so that your stomach is never empty


3. Drink plenty of liquids, especially if you are suffering through vomiting. Try crushed ice, fruit juice or frozen ice pops if water doesn't suit you. In some cases, water upsets the stomach.


4. Avoid smelling or eating foods that aggravate the nausea, and also stay away from spicy, rich and fried foods whenever you are nauseated.


5. Go for acupressure or motion-sickness bands to beat nausea.


By following such simple yet effective steps, you can easily bring some amount of relief to your morning sickness or nausea during pregnancy.
