As they say "A man is a man until he can prove that he is really a man". The saying itself highlights how important manhood is for men.
But ever thought about the trauma which some men have to go through because of male impotency! A recent research highlighted that a large number of men are suffering from impotency as well as from Depression. We all know that mental disorder affects the mind, body and sex life.
Male impotency and depression are somehow interrelated. One leads to the other and vice a versa. Depression is nothing but a psychological illness and this interrelation between the two makes the things complicated. Men who are already world famous for taking too much of mental tensions, when feel challenged to their manliness, this condition further deteriorates. Similarly, as it has been advised by the doctors that a good sex is good for mental health, a depressed man follows this advice for providing relief to the stress but realizes that the tensions have made him impotent. The condition becomes worse from bad.
Depression is life-threatening and the tendency of committing suicide increases when it gets mixed with impotence. Marriages collapse making a person further depressed and this illness assumes devilish proportions. The main reason behind all this is the inability to fulfill the expectations of the partner and men feel that they are worthless.
Thoughts of committing suicide crave in and this psychological disorder can destroy not one but many lives. However, consulting a psychologist and support from the partner can slowly bring things back on track. The need is to keep remembering a depressed man that "a man remains a man no matter what comes his way and a complete man is one who never lets his weakness overpower his strengths".
