Is raw milk good for milk allergies?
There are many doubts in the minds of the people about the effectiveness of the raw milk in case of allergies. And this is one of the most frequently asked questions among the worried parents. The natural unprocessed or the unpasteurized milk or commonly known as Raw milk has a series of controversies with it.
We all know that Milk Allergy is caused by the allergens or the proteins present in it, that of a cow, goat or sheep, igniting an exaggerated allergic reaction, which occurs when the immune system mistakenly finds the milk protein harmful and release antibodies to counter-attack them. These antibodies clung to mast cell, which further responds with ‘histamines’ and these histamines are responsible for reactions within the body. This hypersensitivity from milk and diary products mainly affects the babies but it is not found ‘exclusively in infants and children’ and can affect a person at any age.
This allergic disorder increases and the immune system does not allow the body to drink it. Gradually, this hypersensitivity increases and after some time, the child stops drinking it and deprives the body from essentials nutrients.
Now, the question arises "Can this raw, unpasteurized milk be good for milk allergies?"
The answer is, ‘No, raw milk is not good for such allergic disorders and must never be used as an alternative’. Well, there are some misconceptions about the so-called effectiveness of this unpasteurized milk, as a recent research claims that raw milk is quite effective in reducing the extent of eczema and hay fever. However, it has a long way to go in order to prove these results. But the need is to use a little of your brain and think if the pasteurized one contains some of the allergens in it, then have a thought about the ingredients of the unprocessed raw milk.
I don’t want to scare you, but raw milk is quite dangerous for the infants, as it may lead to food poisoning and can be fatal, so one must consult a doctor and confirm its effectiveness.
